Third-party inspection · China and worldwide
We record what is there. What it means is not ours to say.
China Chita Inspection Co., Ltd. is an independent inspection body based in Dalian, China. We attend the factory, the cold store and the loading bay, in China and, on request, in other countries, and we document what we find against the criteria you set in writing beforehand: counts, weights, ice-glaze percentages, temperatures, seal numbers and photographs.
FACTS FIRST. GLOBAL REACH.
By the numbers
Fifteen years, and every page of it written on site.
CCI was founded in 2011. Every attendance since has ended in the same thing — a written record: counts, net and gross weights, ice-glaze percentages, temperatures, seal numbers, photographs. The figures below are our own workload, not an estimate of the market.
- 15 years Founded in Dalian in 2011, and on site ever since.
- 38,000 inspections On-site attendances recorded since 2011.
- 33,000 containers Containers of cargo attended and recorded since 2011.
- 20 provinces 21 countries Provinces covered in China, and countries where we have attended on site.
| Item | 2024 | Cumulative since 2011 |
|---|---|---|
| Orders received | 2,860 orders | 28,600 orders |
| Containers attended | 3,300 containers | 33,000 containers |
| On-site inspections | 3,800 inspections | 38,000 inspections |
| Item | Now | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Provinces covered | 20 provinces | Northeast, the coast and inland — added to year by year. |
| Countries attended | 21 countries | China among them; sites anywhere else are quoted case by case. |
| Product categories | 7 categories | Frozen food and seafood · apparel and textiles · steel · bulk commodities · machinery and robotics · PV modules · energy storage — and other goods on request. |
| Services offered | 6 services | Factory verification · production monitoring · pre-shipment inspection · sampling · loading supervision · on-site sampling for laboratory analysis. Those are six kinds of on-site work, counted one by one. The services page sets out a five-item menu, because sampling and weighing sit inside the pre-shipment inspection service there. Two different bases; the two counts are not added together. |
| QC inspectors | 26 people | Of the 26: thirteen have more than five years in the trade, eight more than ten, and five more than fifteen. |
Every principal is counted the same way, regardless of size or name. Operational volumes only — no financial figures appear anywhere on this site.
Basis. One inspection means one attendance on site: one day, one place; a job spread over several places counts as several. A single order often covers more than one container, and one container is often attended more than once — production monitoring, pre-shipment inspection and loading supervision are three separate attendances. The 2024 figures are three counts of the same work: 2,860 orders, 3,300 containers attended, 3,800 attendances recorded — about 1.15 containers per order and 1.15 attendances per container. Orders, containers and attendances count the same work three ways. We publish all three. Range figures describe an area covered, not a quantity. On laboratory work: we attend and take the sample, and an accredited third-party laboratory carries out the analysis and issues the test report under its own name — CCI produces no test data.
Where we fit
A trading business stands on three things.
Cold stores, stock and vessels carry the goods. They are not what the business stands on. What it stands on is getting the goods, selling them on and absorbing a bad month, and all three come down to one question: before the container sails, do you know what is in it.
Getting the goods
Verification, production monitoring, pre-shipment inspection and loading supervision, so a deviation is written down while there is still time to do something about it.
Selling them on
You set the scope, the criteria, the photographs, the language and the final reader. There is one report, not versions of it, and your buyer can check it themselves.
Surviving the swings
Weights, ice-glaze percentages and defect counts are measured piece by piece, so the figures are on the table before the vessel sails. Payment, credit and valuation we do not touch.
What makes the record hold up
Independent by structure
We hold no manufacturing, trading or cargo interest in what we inspect.
Present on site
An inspector attends in person. The findings come from the floor, not from the paperwork.
Evidence, not adjectives
Photographs, measurements and notes, each tied to a time, a place and an instrument.
Judgement stays with you
We report against the criteria you supply. We do not set them for you.
Services
Five things you can ask us to do.
01
Factory & Supplier Verification
An inspector visits the proposed supplier and records what is physically there: the site, the equipment, the storage, the processes done in-house, and whether the site matches the trading name you were given.
02
Production Monitoring
Attendance during production, so a deviation is recorded while there is still time to do something about it.
03
Pre-Shipment Inspection, Sampling & Weighing
Piece counts are set by product category, not by one fixed rule. Net, tare and gross weights are recorded with the instrument. Ice glaze is recorded under a stated convention. Labels are checked against a fixed list.
04
Container Loading Supervision
Attendance at the loading, against a fixed ten-point list: container and seal numbers, container condition, carton counts and condition, loading method and securing, and temperature where the cargo is temperature-controlled.
05
On-Site Sampling for Laboratory Analysis
Some questions cannot be answered by looking. CCI attends and takes the sample to a plan agreed in writing, seals and records it, and dispatches it to an accredited third-party laboratory, which issues the test report under its own name. CCI holds no laboratory accreditation and does not produce test data, so you get two documents from two issuers: our sampling record, and the laboratory's report.
Scope, stated plainly
What we do not do.
An inspector who also decides the outcome is not independent. The rules below follow from that one sentence.
- We do not issue a pass/fail conclusion on the whole lot.
- We do not guarantee customs clearance, or approval by the destination country's authorities.
- We do not negotiate prices, sign contracts on your behalf, handle payment or settlement, or clear customs for you.
- We do not decide whether you ship. We give you the facts; you decide.
- We do not certify a factory's HACCP, BRCGS, IFS, ISO or any other certification status, and we do not restate an official certificate as a CCI finding.
